We live in Baltimore, MD (1 hour north of Washington, DC).  I am a drummer for fun and am a banker for a living.  My wife is a ceramic artist for fun and an events manager for a living.

I live in Brooklyn and I am originally from Casablanca in Morocco.
In between, I lived in Prague, where I studied film and in Paris, where I studied business. And now I create perfumes.

I co-directed short films and made a documentary while I was a student in FAMU (10 years ago !!!) and I directed a short film called SPUTNIK at FF 1.
I have also been a director for 50 episodes of a television talk show in Morocco.
I also created 2 production companies, one of which is Art Park and has been a partner of film fabrik since the beginnings.
I love theater and directed many plays and a few musicals (I also wrote one).
Last year, I trained as an actor at Lee Strasberg in NY.

I'm happy to volunteer for the following jobs:

My name is samuel irl, i was born 1984 and originally come from a small town in lower-bavaria, germany. i'm half-german, half-american, so i'm fluent in both languages. i also had french in school but i will definitely need some time to get that in shape again. ;)

i've been living in vienna, austria, for about 6 years now. at the moment i am studying "tonmeister", which basically is like "recording / mixing engineer" aswell as getting an academic musical education. my current major for these studies is "film sound". i have mainly been doing sound design for the uni but i'm really looking forward to do so much film sound recording. besides studying i've been making a lot of (mainly) electronic music for the last 8-9 years.

here are some more basic infos, concerning FF3:

1. i'll be there the whole time.
2. skills: sound / field recording (but i'm also open for post-production, after FF3. sound editing / sound design etc.)
3. equipment: so far i won't be able to bring any gear, because i don't think i can borrow university equipment outside of austria (and also not for such a long time).  this means i'm pretty dependent of what you guys can come up with (sorry...).
4. equipment i would need to do sound recording: one 4-channel portable recorder (fostex, sound devices, in emergency a four-channel zoom recorder would also work), one (shotgun) boom mic (plus pole), and if possible 2-3 wireless mics. (and of course, if possible, some more, high-quality, cardiod / omnidirectional microphones to do some ambience recordings)

Born in 1981 in Praha. Lived in Praha, Paris, back in Praha and now in Berlin. I am still studying. Lets see what comes after. I like to do set-design, I would love to help out with costumes. I can try to act. I helped out as an AD few times and I enjoyed it. I directed one short film and I want to do more. I am interested in documentaries. I like wine and I would love to know how to take care of a wine-yard.
I will try to prepare this crazyness of Film Fabrik Praha, I am thinking of taking part of it too.

Me and my sister were involved with FF2 here in Kaskö 2008 and 2010. It was very interesting and a lot of fun. We can do our best to help in the kitchen etc, we are both very practical, I am good at sewing, dollmaking, we are both good at cooking, baking, cleaning.
We are planning to stay at least one week. I am by the way Petras mum, so my sister Rose-Marie is of course Petras aunt.
It really seems to become an exciting big project!

I'm  Daryl Stuart (Andrea Stuart is my daughter) speaking for myself and my
mother, DeDe. We would like to express our interest in participating in FF#3 set
for August in Prague. Our specialty is good food service (catering). We had the
honor of preparing and serving food for the crew and cast of FF#1 and FF#2. To
our knowledge, no one has gotten sick from our food! So we'd love to try it
again in Prague. We can stay for up to two weeks.

Not only can I cook, I can sew a good stitch, wield a big hammer and paint fine
details with a paint brush. I'm also handy with an SLR camera.

SIGURDUR MAGNUSSON

Sigurdur Hallmar Magnusson was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1976. He studied literature and philosophy at the University of Iceland and later cinema at FAMU, the Czech National Film School in Prague. He completed his Master in cinema studies from University Paris VIII.  Since 2007 he has mainly been working as an editor for Art Park productions.  He has been a cameraman on few short films and directed some short films on his own. He is currently working on a documentary related to the financial collapse in Iceland. He lives in France.

A list of skills:

Camera – I like it.  I’ve done some camerawork and I’m always interested in doing some more. Among the ones I’ve done camera on are: Flaskan (La bouteille) link, Sputnik link and Mirror link.

Lighting – The same as for camerawork.  I like it, I have done some, and I’m always interested in doing some more.

Sound – I like it too.  And I have two ok ears even though Armande keeps telling me I’m deaf.

Acting – I’ve done it.  Don’t want to do it again but who knows, life is like a box of chocolat.

Assistant director – I’ve done it twice on Palindrome link  and Augun opnast link .  It’s not my favorite job and so far I’ve only done it for Erpur.  I guess I like Erpur.

Kitchen – I love cooking when I’m not tired.  So that excludes Film Fabrik.  But I could still cut some onions if needed.

Toilette cleaning – I can help Audun.

I think that’s all I’m good for.

ARMANDE CHOLLAT-NAMY

Bio:
This is a bit dry, but for application files this is what you might
need, to keep it simple... and everybody knows that French people
don’t have any humor, except for Mr. PH! ;)

Armande Chollat-Namy was born in Lyon (France) in 1978. After studying
cinema and photography in Prague and Paris, she became a free lance
cameraman and has worked on many short films. In her own films, she
has focused on object animation and underwater shooting techniques.
She is also interested in creative documentary.  She lives in the
Alpes in France and works mainly in Paris.

As for something more “personal”, well…
I’m working mainly as a cameraman and an editor for Art Park (the
production house in Paris supporting FF3) and as a firework
technician. I just started to participate as a teacher in cinema
workshops with kids and I love it!  At the moment I’m also
co-directing a creative documentary about Iceland.  I have been in FF1
and FF2, as a director in the first one and a cameraman in both.

My personal work is usually tagged as experimental, but I’d rather say
that I’m a black sheep in the experimental world, since I’m using
basic classical cinema language.  My universe is inspired by visual
arts; my true interest is simply to explore and share emotions.

4/ My skills to offer:

- Cameraman :  I love it! (you can see extracts from my camerawork on
the artpark website (artpark.fr) : “farco, CO2, hmstrf, Près des
rails, Turkmenistan, Palindrome, Tältet, Top 40, Palinka”

- Camera and light assistant:  I’ll be very pleased to do so! I was
camera assistant on all FF2 films, except on the one I shot.

the film “Kuski” and the French bitch who just lost her husband, -
it’s the best I can do! ;)

My name is Francine Patri.

I'm an Actress.

Born in Santiago, Chili, twenty-seven years ago.

Today, I'm living in Toulouse, France. I'm here because I have the intentions to begin a cinematographic license, specialized in the label of acting.

In my experience, I have participated in a film, and in several theater plays in my home country, related to the drama and realism, rather than with comedy.

I consider myself a movie lover, as well as to act than as an spectator. That's why I'm interested in plenty of ways to participate in this festival.

Willing to do what it's needed, and with the intentions to acquire experience, knowledge and laughter at work, I hope to have the pleasure to participate in it.

I speak Spanish and French naturally. My English is basic-intermediate, but I will learn it with effort, putting all my good will to achieve the goal.

Bio:

I am Emma Beckström, born in Göteborg, Sweden in 1974, but recently moved to Malmö in the south of Sweden for the  climate and location.

The main focus as an independent filmmaker has been stop-motion animation, but, scriptwriting, set-design, editing and photography 

has all been very interesting and tried out. 

Proffesionally the work has mainly been on the art department ( set design) on shortfilms, a little bit of TV and features. 

Last film as a director was Tältet shot on Film Fabrik 3 in Finland and finished in 2010.

Mostly I´ve done  the main part of the work myself. 

Not because I want to, but because of the lack of money or close-by filmmaker friends. 

I truly love and believe in teamwork.

I am mostly experienced in set design but would really enjoy to learn something new.

I'm Marion Raievski, I'm born in Greenland and I have done theatre school in Paris. I have been working with various street-theatre Companies for the last 8 years. And I do many different things around artistic projects!
I've started my own theatre Company 2 years ago: Company Sputnik.

Normally I'm an actress, but I have done many different jobs for short films:

- make up and dressing...
- general manager

(born 1974) graduated from the film school FAMU in 

Prague, Czech Republic, in 2003. Since this time he has worked as freelancer in his own company Coaxfilm, where he is doing camera and editing, mostly promotion films for NGOs from their project around the world. He is based in Oslo together with Petra, but are during spring 2011 moving to Berlin.

I have made 3 shortfilms (The lost King, Mirror, Bottle), and two of them are in Film Fabrik. Beside I have made or worked on music clips, documentaries and a numerous of promotion films for NGOs.

My name is Marie Schultz. I was born in Vejenbrød, a small village north of Copenhagen in 1978, Denmark. Winter child. OK. Basically I'm into films because they made me feel that I was not alone in the world when I was around 15 – you know, that age where its very difficult, or at least can be. Im into classical animation and spiritual films, like Tarkovsky, T.H.Dreyer, Fellini. What I appreciate the most about making films is the dialogue and exchange with people in the process. I directed several shorts, documentaries and animations. Right now I'm working for an artist for his next exhibition. A little piece combining classical puppet animation, live action and computer-animation.

my favorite subject and constant inspiration is daily life and the surprises it brings in its gaps and errors.

My name is Andrea, I’m from America but I’ve been living in Europe and making films for the last 10 years. For the last 6 years I’ve been based in Paris working for Art Park as an editor and director. I started out as a director of photography in New York while studying NYU film, very much involved in lighting, but over the last few years, I am much more focused on directing. During FF3, I would like to focus even more on directing and acting as a way to learn more about directing the actor. I have directed and done lighting and camera for FF1 and FF2.

Lighting: I am an experienced director of photography/lighting person

Acting: I have some experience (Have you guys seen Hellboy? I rock!) and I would like to have more. I offer you my soul.

My skills:

I have acted in several short films, mainly in Diddi's silent films. I also acted on stage in Paris with an amateur group for three years. I kind of enjoy it. I was assistant director in FF1 and I can function well as such due to my protestant working ethics (no drinking, wake up early, tight schedule, hard work...).

My bio:

My name is Starkaður Barkarson. I´m born in Iceland but in 2000 I went to Praha to do film studies. There I met bunch of nice people that have in one or other way kept on being a part of my life. After two years living in Spain I joined the Film Fabric and that ruined my love life. I wrote one script (I don't remember what the film was called - something about a wall or a door) and was assistant director on that film. I also acted in two films (Diddi's hmstrf and Gyom's Toteninsel). I then lived in Paris where I kept on working on little projects with my friends, mainly acting (for example in Diddi's Pres de rail and Cargo). I joined an amateur theater group with whom I stayed for three years. I have been living in Berlin last two years but am moving back to Iceland.

My name is PH, I'm from France and since 2000 and the creation of Les Films de la Lymphe I was involved in several productions as director, assistant director or 2nd team director. Since 2007 I work for Art Park as editor, cameraman and photographer. My last short movie 36ème Sous-Sol is actually screening in festivals around the world.

I have volunteered my services as personal chef for the gang for one week in August. I am not sure which one yet, but will keep you posted.

The project sounds really amazing, and I can't wait to meet all of you.

In addition, I am a photographer and will be snapping pictures like crazy, when I take the spoon out of my hand.

My name is Rafael, I come from Chile and I studied Cinematography at Valparaiso's University in the city called "The Pacific's Jewell". I worked in everything i could excepting hairdressing, but finally I specialized in camera and lightning. Now I'm living in France, in the city of Toulouse with Erpur & Marion.
