FILM FABRIK PRAHA: DAY FIVE

Early morning: are you working?

At 7am, a groggy but determined team (Veronika, Audun, Petra, Andrea, Armande, Nick, angela) head to Barrandov Studios, the Czech film studio famous for being the sole one in operation during the Communist era. Film Fabrik is on a mission to find props, set pieces, and costumes for films by Andrea, Audun, and Armande. Barrandov delivers in spades, and the quality of many objects influences how the writers will develop their scripts in these final hours before production begins.

Meanwhile, many are up and to work by 8am in the MeetFactory, constructing Andrea’s set. Her film will commence shooting tomorrow, so there is a joyous urgency to having the set built, painted, and dressed. We also welcome BenoĆ®t, who has arrived from France.

PH and his producers, Monika and Jakob, travel around Prague to scout for and confirm their shooting locations. PH also finishes his storyboard, which causes him to do quite a delightful dance. Elsewhere, Agnar and Erpur consult on Agnar's developing script while enjoying the Beer Garden.

Dinner consists of a lovely bean-and-noodle soup. Post-dinner, the group fractures into numerous smaller parties who set to work preparing the many scripts. Tomorrow is the first of three days for Andrea’s film to be produced. Excitement in the air!
